1. Help draft a Barangay Disaster Risk Management Manual. Click here to download a template.
2. Promote planting of camote in backyard plots. Camote is more likely to survive El Nino/drought and can be a backup source of calories if rice crops fail due to drought.
3. Start a blog to monitor environmental risk factors in your area.
4. Ask your municipal SK Federation Chairperson to discuss Climate Change Adaptation in a council meeting.
5. Identify high-risk individuals in your barangay who might need special attention in case of evacuation (ex.elderly who have difficulty in mobility, households with a large number of young children, etc.)

7. Make cellphone directory of Red Cross-trained first aiders in your barangay and distribute to Barangay Officers.
8. Contact principals of schools in your barangay and ask for their emergency evacuation plans.
9. Download and study the book Community-based Disaster Risk Management.
10. Develop the evacuation plan for your own household.
